La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages is located in Lake Travis, TX. The park is one of the premier RV resorts in Texas.
Owner Ken Buchek approached us about building their facilities because they wanted to have good long lasting buildings at a reasonable price, but they also wanted to be able to design the buildings with some interesting architectural features.
They wanted four buildings including an office, a pavilion, a laundry facility and a pool house.
We worked with their architect to design functional and attractive buildings that would suit their purposes. The architect designed two of the buildings that utilized our Monitor Style building design. For the pavilion they wanted the look of a monitor but they also wanted it to have less columns than the standard design. We were able to design a building that had some columns and some bays that did not have columns. The office building was designed with a standard monitor building. The laundry facility is a gable building with lean-to’s on both sides forming a building that is reminiscent of early German Texas Architecture. The building has a long, low porch where campers can sit and overlook the pavilion and the pool area.
